For Casablanca III and Gen VIII:

Theta Digital Downloader (TDD) 144

TDD is a PC utility that allows the user to update/reload the flash files and operating system into the Casablanca II F100 (aka OS2), Casablanca III and Generation VIII. It also allows the user to save and restore settings to/from the PC. TDD 1 44 is now the minimum required version of downloader.

If you previously installed TDD V 137 (or lower) on your PC, in order to use any of these flash files, you must uninstall it and download the latest version of CBIII Suite: TDD V 144.

This applies to Gen VIII and CBII OS2 users as well.

Flash files created for use with TDD 137 are not compatible with TDD V 144 (or higher), and visa versa!

Please note: if you have a set of flash files previously obtained from us, the dealer, a friend, the website, etc that were compatible with TDD137, they are NOT compatible with TDD 144 (or higher).

The version of TDD itself, the version of Crystal and the version of flash files are very different now regardless of if the user has a CB3a or a CB3b. Which version of Crystal you MUST use Depends on which version of Casablanca III you have (see below to determine whether you have “a” or “b” type).

To determine the version of TDD that is currently installed on a PC, start the program. Click once on the small Theta Logo in the blue title bar. Click on “About TDD”

Check your PC and see if there is a previous Theta Digital "TDD"; if your have TDD V 137 (or a lower number) you need to uninstall it and then download the latest version of CBIII Suite: TDD V 144 (or higher).

If Your Casablanca III has Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, Circle Surround, Dolby Pro Logic, you use the “CB3a” flash file set.

If your Casablanca III has Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, DTS NEO:6 and 96/24, Circle Surround II, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, you will use the “CB3b" flash file set.
