Digital Announces "6 Shooter"
Multi-channel Analog Throughput Option
for Casablanca II and Casa Nova Controllers
Isolation of Digital and Analog signals ensures highest level of
performance from DVD-A and SACD sources
CES 2002, LAS VEGAS, January 8, 2002--Theta
Digital, Americas leading digital audio manufacturer,, introduces
the 6 Shooter Multi-channel Analog Throughput device for their Casablanca
II and Casa Nova Music and Cinema Controllers at CES 2002 beginning
today in Las Vegas.
The 6 Shooter Multi-Channel Analog Throughput is an outboard solution
for playback of multi-channel DVD-A and SACD sources. This device
provides seamless volume control command from either the Theta Casablanca
II or Casa Nova controllers. The 6 Shooter's internal volume controls
are made from high quality metal film resisters.
Keeping the fragile analog signals separate
from the controller's digital circuitry ensures the purest transfer.
Best of all, by being outboard, the 6 Shooter doesn't occupy one
of the expansion slots in the controller, allowing for even more
upgrade possibilities. The output from the DVD-A or SACD player
is fed into the throughput box, another set of outputs connects
the box to the system's power amplifiers. Both balanced and single-ended
connections are provided.
Casablanca II is Theta's Music and Cinema
controller, often hailed by reviewers as "future-proof"
because of its open architecture design. Casablanca II is completely
customizable, and offers an enormous panoply of features and options.
Casablanca II's quality and flexibility eliminate the need to choose
between audiophile music reproduction and video-based surround sound.
Casa Nova is an affordably priced version of Casablanca II.
The 6 Shooter will be available in first Quarter
2002 and can be seen with Theta's other products at booth 23804
in the South Hall 1-2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center during
the CES 2002.
