Theta Digital Introduces the Six Shooter
High-Performance Multi-channel Playback Solution

Unique New Analog Robot Preamplifier Provides DVD-A and SACD Capability for Theta’s Casablanca III and Casa Nova Music and Cinema Controllers

CES 2004, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2004 —Theta Digital, acclaimed as America’s most advanced manufacturer of high-end digital audio and video products, introduces the Six Shooter Multi-channel Analog Throughput for its Casablanca III and Casa Nova Music and Cinema Controllers at CES 2004, beginning today in Las Vegas.

The Six Shooter, previewed earlier, is Theta’s innovative, proprietary solution for the playback of multi-channel DVD-Audio and SACD music sources. A multichannel analog audiophile preamplifier, it provides input switching, volume and balance control, commanded seamlessly from Theta’s Casablanca III Music and Cinema Controller, and will shortly be equipped to provide the same for the Casa Nova Music and Cinema Controller.

A multichannel analog audiophile preamplifier, it provides input switching, volume and balance control. Theta’s Casablanca III Music and Cinema Controller seamlessly commands this robot preamp’s internal analog controls, preserving the signal’s purity.

The Six Shooter, a fully shielded outboard component, keeps fragile analog signals separate from the Casablanca’s digital circuitry to ensure the purest possible signal transfer. It’s own internal analog volume controls are made from individual high-quality metal-film resisters. As an outboard device, the Six Shooter preserves the number of expansion slots in the Casablanca, allowing even more upgrade possibilities.

Output from a DVD-A or SACD source is fed into the Six Shooter, while a set of outputs from the Six Shooter connect the signal to the system’s power amplifiers. Both differential balanced and single-ended connections are provided.

The Casablanca III is the latest in Theta’s series of highly innovative, highly flexible surround processors (see accompanying release). Considered “future-proof” because of its Open Architecture design, the Casablanca III is completely customizable, and offers an enormous array of features and options. Casablanca III’s quality and flexibility eliminate the need to choose between audiophile music reproduction and video-based surround sound.
Casa Nova is a more affordably priced version of Casablanca III. The Casa Nova Music and Cinema Controller will have an option to allow command of the Six Shooter.

The Six Shooter is expected to be available at a suggested price of $2,000 in the first quarter 2004 for use with the Casablanca III, and later this year for use with the Casa Nova. It can be seen with Theta’s other outstanding products in Booth 18S659, Las Vegas Convention Center, during CES.
