Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chooses Theta Digital Components for symposium on the future of Television
Theta Equipment to Provide state of the art audio performance to Conference and Demonstration Addressing Hi-Def TV

AGOURA HILLS, CA, Oct. 30, 2005—Theta Digital, long acclaimed as America’s most advanced manufacturer of high-end digital audio and video products, has agreed to supply state of the art components to the ATAS Symposium this November.

Saturday, November 5, 2005, members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (the “Emmy” awards organization) will convene from 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM at The Leonard H Goldenson Theater of THE ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES in North Hollywood, California for a symposium titled NEXT TV Managing Your Future In the Changing Landscape of Television. The event is announced as “An Academy of Television Arts & Sciences symposium intended to provide its members with the tools necessary to compete in today’s evolving telecommunications landscape.”

Presentations include a workshop on “Meeting the Demands of HiDef”, daylong audio demonstrations “Demystifying Surround Sound” and a panel discussion on “Breakthroughs in HiDef Television & Post Production.”

As ATAS members will be exploring television’s potential for higher performance video and sound, it was deemed appropriate to contact makers of equipment that would allow the fullest expression possible to be demonstrated. Westlake Audio, the prominent manufacturer of professional studio monitors is providing speakers, and Birns & Sawyer is providing the projector and screen to be used in the main demonstrations. Theta Digital will be providing a Casablanca III Surround Processor, Compli DVD Player, a Dreadnaught II Multichannel Amplifier and a pair of Enterprise Mono Amplifiers.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is one of three sister organizations (along with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) that together administrate the Emmy awards.
