Theta Digital Announces Component Video/S-Video Card Option for the Casablanca II Controller

Component Video Switching ensures highest level of performance

CES 2002, LAS VEGAS, January 8, 2002--Theta Digital, Americas leading digital audio manufacturer, introduces the Component Video/S-Video Switching Card for their flagship Casablanca II Music and Cinema Controller at CES 2002 beginning today in Las Vegas.

The new Component Video/S-Video Card is one of three optional video switching cards available for the Casablanca II. It provides switching for up to three component video sources and 6 S-Video sources. The Component Video inputs are throughputs designed to professional standards capable of carrying progressive and interlaced signals at any resolution. Eight-pin DIN jacks are used for the Component inputs/output and special breakout cables are offered by Theta Digital. Each input can be mapped to any Input Select button, as can every other audio and video jack on the Casablanca II.

Casablanca II is Theta's Music and Cinema controller, often hailed by reviewers as "future-proof" because of its open architecture design. Casablanca II is completely customizable, and offers an enormous panoply of features and options. Casablanca II's quality and flexibility eliminate the need to choose between audiophile music reproduction and video-based surround sound.

The new Component Video/S-Video Card is scheduled for release in First QTR 2002 and is expected to retail for about $850. It can be seen with Theta's other products in Booth 23804 in the Las Vegas Convention center during CES 2002.
